The heartbreak we see, when the time comes to say goodbye to furfamily members is genuinely one of the toughest parts of the job. As a part of The University of Sydney School of Veterinary Science ( SSVS), Uni Vets Camden is proud to be engaged with the school’s body donation as an option to those facing the challenging experience of losing a beloved animal. The SSVS Animal Donation Program ensures your pet has an enduring purpose after death. Previous donors have expressed an overwhelming sense of good has come from a difficult time, they are deeply touched knowing the lifelong impact their donation makes in supporting the next generation of veterinarians and the animals they will go on to look after.
A memorial service was recently held to acknowledge and thank donors for allowing their pet to be part of the Animal Donation Program. A memorial park bench and plaque was recently unveiled in the Camperdown campus and is a reminder of the gift these pets and their owners have given.
